Our destination wedding venues give you the whole property for the weekend — not a ballroom you rent by the hour. Gatheround owns and runs lakeside estates in the Catskills and a larger property in the Poconos, all roughly two hours from New York City and Westchester. Close enough for guests to drive up, far enough to feel genuinely away.
These are built for real weddings — most of ours run 100 guests and up. Timber Lake, in the Catskills, hosts weddings up to 500 with overnight space for 400, lakeside, with room for a full weekend. Timber Lake West, also in the Catskills, holds up to 300 for both the event and overnight stays. Tyler Hill, our largest property in the Poconos, handles weddings up to 800 with overnight for 500 — the one to look at if your guest list runs big. For a smaller, more intimate weekend, The Shandaken Inn in the Catskills takes up to 100 guests for events with overnight capacity for 42 guests across 21 beds.
Every property sits about 2 hours 15 minutes from Midtown Manhattan and is an easy reach from Westchester — a real destination feel without a flight. Guests can drive up the morning of, but nearly all of our weddings run as full weekends, with everyone staying over on site.
Most couples use the venue for more than one day: a welcome gathering, the ceremony and reception, and a slower morning-after with everyone still on site. Because the property is yours for the booking, the timeline is yours too — we handle lodging blocks, catering coordination, and the run-of-show so you’re not managing vendors on your wedding weekend.
